Placed under the authority of a Provincial Delegate, the Provincial Delegation of Forests and Wildlife is responsible for:

• monitoring and developing the action programs of the Departmental Delegations and their approval;
• the preparation of the draft program of action and budget of the Provincial Delegation as well as the implementation of the selected operations;
• management of human, material and financial resources;
• monitoring of projects carried out in the Province in the area of ​​forest and wildlife;
• the collection and centralization of statistical data on forests and fauna;
• monitoring compliance with the application of forestry and wildlife legislation and regulations in the Province.

It includes:

1. the Wildlife Service;
2. the Forest Service;
3. the Forest Promotion Service;
4. the Provincial Control Brigade;
5. the General Affairs Department;
6. the Bureau of Forest and Wildlife Statistics and Product Processing

Placed under the authority of a Departmental Delegate, the Departmental Delegation of Forests and Wildlife is responsible for the organization, coordination, animation and control of activities under the Ministry in the Department.

It Includes :

1. the Forestry Section;
2. the Forest Products Processing and Promotion Section;
3. the Fauna Section;
4. the General Affairs Office

it is created, as necessary, by order of the Minister of Forests and Wildlife, of the Forest and Hunting Control Posts.

The Forest and Hunting Control Posts come under the jurisdiction of the departmental delegations and are responsible for monitoring and control permanent forestry and wildlife activities in their respective area of ​​jurisdiction.

Each placed under the authority of a Curator, the Technical Operational Units are created in accordance with the plans development and located in identified areas of particular interest. Their limits are subject to precise description.

The following are considered as Technical Operational Units:

1. production forest reserves;
2. botanical gardens;
3. Forest Management Units.

The Technical Operational Units are classified into two (02) categories:

1. Category 1 Technical Operational Units with an area greater than 100,000 ha;
2. Second Category Technical Operational Units with an area of ​​less than 100,000 ha.

The First and Second Category Operational Technical Units are created by decree of the Prime Minister.

The Custodians of the First and Second Category Operational Technical Units report to the provincial delegates.

The Custodians of cross-border and inter-provincial Technical Operational Units report to the Minister of Forests and Wildlife.
