Forestry personnel honoured

December 15, 2023 will go down in the annals of MINFOF's history, with the very first ceremony to confer rank insignia on forestry personnel, on the esplanade of the National Forestry School in Mbalmayo. During the ceremony, presided over by the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Jules Doret NDONGO, some 500 staff were awarded insignia/epaulets.

In his address, the Minister urged the promoted to demonstrate resilience, self-sacrifice and dedication in performing their duties in spite of the constraints they face. The ceremony is part of the innovations and reforms undertaken by MINFOF to improve the working conditions of those in the forestry sector.

Worthy of note, on November 30, 2023, the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife signed a series of decrees raising the rank of forestry personnel.
